Scorpions State of the Union, April 22nd

Scorpions President and General Manager, Howard Cornfield takes time to update the fans on Scorpions happenings, as well as thank them for their support in the club’s opening matches.

“This has been an exciting couple of weeks for the San Antonio Scorpions. We opened up the newest soccer specific stadium in America, we started our NASL Spring campaign and we hosted some great events.

The opening of Toyota Field was a fantastic event. Everyone from the team, fans and staff made the night of April 13th a historic night in San Antonio. From an organizational standpoint, there are things we can do better so we will strive to make the Toyota Field experience better and better each week. The fans were wonderful and in full voice before, during and after the match. We thank each and every fan for their support. It means so much to us all. 8,177 fans showed up to Toyota Field, making it two consecutive seasons with a sell out in our home opener. We are so grateful for your help in making this a special night.

We have had an off week recently, giving everyone on the team and staff a chance to recharge our batteries. We are already preparing for our next home game while the team prepares to take all three points in Canada on Saturday.

Our next home game is May 4th so don’t hesitate to get your tickets, which are selling fast. Visit ticketmaster.com or call 210-495-8686 so you can see what all the Toyota Field fuss is about!

Have a great week!”

Howard Cornfield.
