“Through the first five games, we’ve struggled to get on the scoreboard regularly and we have really had a rash of injuries that has kept us from being our best. However I think we’ve turned a corner and we have had a really good week of training, and were looking forward to the match on Saturday.
Fort Lauderdale commit a lot of players forward, so it’s a lot to defend. They are busy players, active players so that takes a lot of communication and coordination. Every team comes out for 90 minutes to make problems for us, so we are constantly trying to solve those problems. Communication is part of that, so we are looking to improve in that area.
We are also looking forward to the quick turnaround with the US Open Cup game on Tuesday against FC Tucson. It doesn’t matter to us what league they play in, we are going to treat them like any other opponent and prepare properly. They are a young exciting side and we will be ready for them at Toyota Field.
All of us hope to see you out at Toyota Field Saturday and Tuesday to cheer us on. Your support really drives the players.”
Cheers,
TH
